Emily and Jacob properly met between their first and second years of medical school. Prior, Jacob asked a lecturer to readdress Emily's missed question and Emily vaguely remembered Jacob when he posted his travel itinerary for any other medical students travelling to Australia from Canada. A shared interest in track and field saw the two meet for a workout in Brisbane where there were reports of Jacob sitting just a little too close to Emily on the bench.

Our first trip together took us to the Whitsundays. Making the most of Australia meant taking in some of the most beautiful sites - and some of the most lethal sun - in the world.

The first of many formal occaisons to party. Not pictured was us and half the medical cohort catching and transmitting a respiratory virus. At least we were dressed to the nine(teens)s.

A whole country to explore during our sparse days off. The journey together is a sweet one.

Moving in together just outside Brisbane was actually closer to the airport. Opportunities for Jacob to interupt tennis matches by crunching a carrot became that much more accessible.

Australia has welcomed us, and us, it. We do not know where our future will precisely take us, but our friends were keen to show us that Australia can get cold enough to remind us of home.

Inviting Emily to experience some of the best BC has to offer. This spot is still less cold than Ontario.

The ongoing airport access meant we could have favourite places to get away to. Whitesundays does it again, and likely again and again.

A summer in Canada, reminding us the world is small, our life's adventure will take us anywhere, but likely not up the Grouse Grind again.

The culmination of many years of school and fate deciding us to meet in Australia made for an incredibly happy day with our friends and family

New careers and new chapter in our lives. We do not know where in the world we will call home, but home will be with each other; the planning for an incredible day begins.

Day 1 as doctors, was day 0 as fiances. Jacob enlisted many of the same friends and family to mislead Emily to what she thought would be a Bribie Island lunch to celebrate ONLY our graduation.
